Become a prescriber
How to register with SÚKL for medical cannabis prescribing access, and what the rules require.
You cannot prescribe medical cannabis in the Czech Republic without authorisation in the eRecept system. Registration is a short administrative process, and it is the single most common thing standing between a willing doctor and a first prescription.
General practitioners holding specialities 001 and 002 may prescribe medical cannabis for diagnosis R52.1, chronic intractable pain, subject to the professional competence requirements of decree 236/2015 Coll.

Confirm your speciality qualifies you to prescribe under decree 236/2015 Coll. General practitioners with specialities 001 and 002 qualify for R52.1. A range of specialists qualify for the wider set of indications.

Once SÚKL confirms your access, the medical cannabis prescription type becomes available in your practice software. You will create it as a narcotic (NL) prescription.
